WHO ARE FRIENDS OF SOUTH?

Allow us to introduce you to Friends of South Eugene High School, formed to support student activities and sports at South Eugene. This is where you can plug in to support your student with your volunteer time and/or your contributions.  If you have more than one child or they are participating in more than one sport or activity, there is one place for you to get involved. 

Friends of South has been formed on the foundation of the former Axemen Booster Club, which name and purpose have been changed to deepen and widen the support of the school. Friends of South only works with the contributions you make of time and/or donations. We are a non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are tax deductible. We maintain a general account that supports many general needs, an Athletics Endowment, AND separate accounts for specific sports or activities, so your contributions can be directed to the activities you designate.

Friends of South’s by-laws make us a “member” organization; meaning that if you wish to participate, you are a member, and are invited to meetings, and to vote annually on officers and any by-laws amendments. Friends of South’s plan is to provide various teams, clubs, and activities, from Debate and Drama and Music, to Football or Rowing or Baseball, an array of ways to raise money without re-inventing the wheel every year.
