Biography

Rhonda (Redditt) Scott excelled athletically at an early age participating in track as a ninth grader at Spencer Butte Junior High, where in 1975, became the state champion in the 100-meter dash (10.97). She ran on the 4x400 relay (fourth place) and the 800-yard medley relay (fifth), helping the Axe women win their first state title in school history.

She is one of seven SEHS women garnering hall of fame accolades as an individual and a member of an inducted team. The 1975 South Eugene track and field team was inducted in 2017. Overall, she’s one of 26 South athletes named to this unique list.

Redditt’s record sprint in the 100 would stand in the annals of the SEHS record book for 43 years. She’s also the school record holder in three defunct events: the 220-yard run (24.94), the 440-yard relay (50.1 seconds), and the 800-yard medley relay (1:52.1). During her senior year, the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) debuted the 200-meters running a 24.64, the fastest SEHS time until 2018.

As a sophomore, she was third in the 100 meters, the 440-yard and 880-meter medley relay teams. She was not able to compete at the state level during her junior season due to a near career-ending knee injury sustained in a car accident, however returned for her senior season finishing third in the 200-meters.

She was a member of the "Sychonettes' dance team, had a brief stint on the junior varsity basketball team, and a member of the National Honors Society. Off campus, she mentored at a local elementary school and at the Hilyard Street Recreation Center helping in a variety of ways that included painting a wall mural. Her greatest memories were interacting with the faculty and hanging out with friends at the Butte!

After SEHS, she ran track at the University of Oregon anchoring the then-school record 4x100 meter team in 1980. Redditt lettered twice, was a scholar-athlete, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing.

Redditt is the former Coca-Cola Head of Customer Leadership for the South Africa Franchise in the South and East Africa Business Unit. Her primary focus was developing a world-class customer centric organization while further building system capabilities, winning new business and maintaining current customers. She chaired the Customer Leadership Council with Africa’s largest bottling partner.

During her 18 years with The Coca-Cola Company, she held various positions and was instrumental in the development and implementation of key customer initiatives and business improvement processes within Coca-Cola North America and Coca-Cola Corporate, and the Eurasia & Africa Group.

Redditt relocated to Johannesburg in 2010 as the Global Customer Director for Nando’s, where she was responsible for leading the global partnership across the Coca-Cola system, building customer capabilities with company and bottler associates, and leading multi-country renegotiations. She has worked as the Director of International Business, leading U.S., and international key account customers with global expansion.

In 2011, Redditt launched and chaired the company’s first international women’s linc organization in South Africa. She is the Executive Sponsor of Women’s Linc and has been selected as a Coca-Cola Global Ambassador.

Before joining The Coca-Cola Company in 1999, she held a variety of positions in the U.S. foodservice and convenience retail industries. Redditt repatriated to the U.S. and retired from the Coca-Cola Company in December 2016 and now works independently as a guest lecturer and corporate facilitator.

She resides in Atlanta, Ga., with her husband, Van. They have three children, Van Jr. (39), Evan Nicole (32), and Kendall (30).
