VOLUNTEER & MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR

Come grow with us!! Are you great with people and well organized? Do you enjoy getting folks excited and engaged around fundraising events? The Friends of South Eugene is committed to ongoing independent fundraising for South and we are in need of a volunteer coordinator to engage parents, students and community members to volunteer at events.  Events are year-round and include the Hall of Fame and Auction event, Wine Bottling, Concessions and Ticket-taking and more.  The person in this role will also work to generate membership for the Friends of South as we grow into an important financial support arm for the School.  Time commitment includes a monthly Board meeting, event coordination meetings, and time needed to build and maintain a strong volunteer base.

CONCESSIONS COORDINATOR

Feed the fans! The Friends of South Eugene is working toward coordinated hosting of the three concession booths that are manned throughout the year for food and beverage support at athletic events.  Historically these concession stands have been profitable for teams hosting the stands, but have been difficult to staff.  Do you have experience in food, healthy snacks and beverages?  Are you interested in helping teams, clubs or other groups work for additional needed funds?  The Friends are in need of a committed and organized volunteer to build the concession stand program with an eye to coordinating volunteer groups, balancing funding needs, maintaining the stands, and developing and maintaining menus.  Time commitment includes a monthly board meeting, full program development in coordination with Friends of South and South Eugene Athletics, and game-day coordination of volunteers with the Volunteer & Membership Coordinator.

THANK YOU COORDINATOR

Help us build more “Axe” good-will! The Friends of South wants to build a strong, on-going, base of sponsorship support for the school.  One way we can do this is by doing a great job of thanking and recognizing our donors and sponsors.  This role would not have to “raise money” but would help with the follow-up when other volunteers do find sponsors and donors, buy maintaining a full list of donors and sponsors and doing a superb job of thanking them, and of letting them know the importance of their support.  Organization and communication skills are a must, and liking the good feeling that comes back from a heart-felt “thanks” will make this a fun job.  Time commitment includes a monthly board meeting, staying in touch with various volunteers raising funds in various ways, and mailing or delivering thank you notes and packages (like window-stickers).
